Our history and experience in coffee growing dates back to the 1970s, when Mr. Egidio Zamora Navarro began planting and producing a small farm in Canet de Tarrazú. Egidio and his wife Ligia Picado Umaña instilled in their sons Jacob, Esteban and Felipe the passion for growing coffee. Currently her three children are building a new project every day that they have named La Cruz de Tarrazú Micro-mill.
Currenty their company is dedicated to production, processing, roasting and marketing of specialty coffee.
Mítico coffee is a specialty coffee, which is grown between 1750 and 2000 masl on our farms in El Rodeo, Tarrazú, Costa Rica. We focus on providing premium coffee, from the growing, harvesting, drying, roasting and packaging process, right through to your cup. Our coffee is meticulously prepared to offer a delicious special coffee to your palate.
The combination of altitude, climate and cultivated varieties from the Tarrazú area of Costa Rica gives Mítico Coffee organoleptic characteristics highly appreciated by the most demanding markets in the world: good body, very clean cup, balanced acidity, fine and non-pungent, excellent aroma , characterized by an intense, exotic and fruitful flavor, giving a complex mouthfeel.
